The higher you climb, the fewer people understand your reality. The responsibilities and pressures of leading leave you with fewer people who truly understand your position and fewer you can be candid with.
Every decision has weight and there's no one to process it with. You're making calls that affect hundreds of people and second-guessing yourself in silence.
You've achieved everything you set out to achieve. So why does it feel like something's missing? The success is real. The fulfillment isn't.
The imposter gets louder the higher you climb. You're not sure you're the one who should be leading what's next and you can't say that to anyone.
You're not growing despite your efforts. You've outgrown your own system. What got you here won't get you where you're going next.
You're in the middle of a transition and the old playbook doesn't apply. New venture, exit, leadership change, or the harder one — figuring out who you are without the title.
We begin with a 75-minute assessment of where you are — professionally, personally, and the intersection between the two. This isn't surface-level goal-setting. It's an honest excavation of what's working, what's not, and what's been left unexamined. I spend most of it listening.
Biweekly sessions built around whatever you're actually facing. I bring presence, directness, and the questions that open things up. Between sessions, you have direct access to me via email for the moments that can't wait.
After every session, I send written notes capturing the key themes, patterns, and questions to sit with. These become a living document of your growth that clients return to years later. This is the work that compounds over time.

The thing I care about most in my work is seeing the person beneath the title. Not the CEO. Not the role. The whole person. I create a space where the armor can come off and the real conversation can begin. Everything else I do builds from there.
I came to coaching through sports. As a top 10 professional lacrosse draft pick, I competed at the highest level and learned something that has shaped everything since: the internal game is the one that determines everything. Not the strategy. Not the skill. What's happening inside you. That understanding is the foundation of how I coach.
That's the work I do. Not surface-level strategy. The stuff beneath it that most coaching never reaches.
Over the past 15 years, I've sat across from CEOs of publicly traded companies, billionaire business leaders, Olympic gold medalists, Navy SEALs, and New York Times bestselling authors. I've been a trusted advisor to some of the fastest-growing companies in the country. And through 300+ episodes of my podcast, What Got You There, I've spent thousands of hours studying what separates the people who perform at the highest level from everyone else.
I wrote three books — including Masterpiece in Progress, endorsed by Snowflake CEO Frank Slootman — because I believe the principles of extraordinary performance should be accessible. But the deepest work happens one-on-one. Behind closed doors. Where the real conversation begins.
Most leaders show up to high-stakes moments already in motion. The most effective leaders I've coached have learned to arrive before they act — to be fully present before they speak, decide, or lead.
Read More →Every CEO I've coached carries a fear they rarely name out loud. Learning to have a relationship with that fear — rather than running from it — changes everything about how you lead.
Read More →The higher you climb, the lonelier it gets. Leadership coaching exists to fill this gap — to give you a thinking partner who isn't on your payroll or your board.
Read More →Leaders set the emotional atmosphere of every room they walk into. When a leader is constricted, the team constricts. When a leader is expansive, the team expands.
Read More →The most counterintuitive lesson in executive coaching: the tighter you grip, the less control you have. The highest performers have learned to loosen their grip on outcomes.
Read More →Most leaders already know what they need to do. They're just moving too fast to face it. The work isn't finding the answer — it's slowing down long enough to hear it.
